Miguel A. Rodriguez

FAIA, Principal

Miguel A. Rodriguez, FAIA is a broadly experienced architect with over 35 years in the profession. He is licensed in the State of Florida and three other states and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). As firm principal he directly overseas administration, client relations and marketing and is also directly in charge of and participates on each firm project overseeing the activities of the Project Manager and participating in all phases of project development.

As a former licensed general contractor, Mr. Rodriguez has “hands-on” construction experience and knows what it takes to get a project built. Under his leadership, the firm has successfully completed several design-build projects where it was the prime member of the project team. He is also a recognized expert in the American with Disabilities Act, the Florida Accessibility Code for Building Construction, the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards and the Fair Housing Act and has given expert testimony on behalf of various clients with respect to the removal of architectural barriers. In addition to the ADA, Mr. Rodriguez is also an expert, on professional practice issues, standard of care issues, the Florida Architectural Practice Act and the Florida Building Code, as well as on Continuing Education for professionals. Miguel is an Adjunct member of the Faculty at the University of Miami, School of Architecture, teaching Professional Practice and has previously taught Construction Documents at the University of Miami and Professional Practice at Florida International University. He has also delivered continuing education courses on the AIA documents, the Florida Building Code, the ADA and the Fair Housing Act to fellow professionals and Building Officials around the State of Florida.

His active involvement with professional issues over the past 26 years builds on his expertise and has placed Mr. Rodriguez in a position of leadership not only statewide but also nationally. He is recognized by colleagues for his contributions to the profession on both levels and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects; a recognition of professional excellence which honors those model architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession.

Lourdes Rodriguez

AIA, Principal

Lourdes Rodriguez, AIA is an experienced architect with over 33 years of practice locally. As firm President and Principal she is involved with client relations and marketing and directly oversees the firm’s Education and Public Agency portfolios.

Mrs. Rodriguez has extensive experience with Public Agencies on both continuing services and single project specific agreements, including considerable work with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami Dade County Public Housing and Community Development and the Cities of Miami and Miami Beach with whom she has directly worked on a variety of projects over the span of at least 10 years. Her areas of expertise include educational design, the State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF), the Florida Building Code and Accessibility.

Her primary responsibility is the administration of the firm’s Public Sector Projects and more exclusively Educational Projects. Since 1990, she has been managing or co-managing projects for various South Florida Educational and Governmental Agencies. She has participated in all aspects of the design and construction phases and has developed a keen sense for practicing in a pro-active role in helping lead the project team through the construction process.

As with other firm leaders, Lourdes is active with the American Institute of Architects, has led the local chapter’s Women in Architecture program and is a mentor to young professionals. She is also an active participant in the Committee on Architecture for Education (national) and Committee on Education (local). Through participation and interaction with industry professionals, she maintains the level of knowledge required to practice in today’s diverse and changing environment.

Antonio Moreno

Senior Project Manager

Mr. Moreno is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Design and holds over 20 years experience in the architecture design field. His experience includes both domestic and international projects comprised of a variety of building types including large and small scale developments. He is highly skilled in architectural project delivery from design development to construction documents to construction administration.

Mr. Moreno is experienced in highly sensitive government projects requiring special security clearance; such as United States Embassy designs in Peru, and the development of the new Federal courthouse in Washington D.C. Additionally Mr. Moreno has been successful in delivering technically demanding projects including a number of Health Clinics developed for Humana and Doctor’s Medical Center in Miami, Florida.

In the Educational field Mr. Moreno been involved in the development and management of a number of school projects containing state-of-the-art Science and Biotechnology Labs.

Cuauhtemoc Valle

Senior Production Manager

Mr. Valle has over 12 years’ experience in the architecture design field. His portfolio includes Commercial, Residential and Educational projects including Colleges and Universities, from design development, code analysis to production documents and construction administration.

Mr. Valle has also worked on highly sensitive government projects requiring special security clearance; such as United States National Guard Miramar Readiness Center, a multi-function, multi-story training facility, and the Re-roofing of all terminals at the Fort Lauderdale Airport. Additionally, Mr. Valle has experience on several food service industry related projects developed for Macy’s Department Stores in New York City which included the Remodeling, Renovations and Redesign of employee lounges, dining areas, human resources hiring suite and corporate office areas. His involvement in Hospitality and service industry projects include the Lenox Plaza Mixed-use development, Miami Beach, Florida.

In the Educational field Mr. Valle has been involved in the development and management of several school projects containing Food service spaces including Western High School, Coconut Creek High School for Broward County Public Schools System, Student Life Coffee Shop at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus in Miami, Florida as well as the remodeling of the main lobby, support spaces and exterior plaza at K.C. Wright building for Broward County Public schools.

Rosi Cutrone

Associate AIA, Project Coordinator

Rosi Cutrone is a graduate of Florida International University where she earned a non-professional Bachelor’s Degree in Studies of Architecture in 2009. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Construction Management from Florida International University in 2011. She began her professional career as a Jr. Architect working in hospitality, retail and residential projects throughout Florida. Among her past projects include the Opa-Locka Townhouses, a Key Biscayne Residence, Bal Harbor Art Retail Stores, Publix Supermarkets and American University of Nigeria Hotel, Convention Center and Residential Complex.

In 2017 she received her professional degree; a Bachelor of Architecture from Florida Atlantic University and is now on licensure track. She also joined Rodriguez Architects in 2017 and is a Project Manager on several school projects for both Miami Dade County Public Schools, and Broward County Public Schools. Her recent projects include Air Base K-8, South Miami Middle School, Fienberg-Fisher K-8 Center, Sunset ES, Pinecrest Elementary School, Pines Middle School, Plantation Middle School, Crystal Lake Middle School, Tradewinds Elementary School, and others.

Josiah Hinkle

Associate AIA, Project Coordinator

Josiah is an emerging professional with 2 years of post-graduate experience and an 8-year portfolio of professional visualizations that have successfully sold many projects. Architecture – a medium of representing the world for what it will be tomorrow – is his passion which extends from his early talent for drawing. His skills and craft have proven countless times to be invaluable assets that directly contribute to the success of projects. His portfolio includes projects throughout the United States and the Caribbean including Luxury Residential, Hospitality, Commercial, Churches, and Multi-family developments in excess of 700,000 square feet.

Marie is a graduate of Florida International University with a degree in English. Her interests in architecture stems from an inherent curiosity for the built environment – a curiosity that she often explores as a writer. Stylistically, she appreciates the “Mediterranean Style”, “Gothic Style” and “Colonial Style.” As an important member of the RAI team, she’s key to navigating the often-rigorous literature of RFQs, Proposals, and administrative necessities of the firm.
